The National Empowerment Fund is a catalyst of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment in South Africa, which enables develops, promotes, and implements innovative investment and transformation solutions to advance sustainable Black economic participation, in the economy. They aim to become the leading provider of innovative transformation solutions for an economically inclusive South Africa.
Zwelibanzi is responsible for leading a team that looks for venture capital opportunities for the National Empowerment Fund to invest in. At the forefront of venture capital investments in South Africa, the team is designed to fill the industry shortfall in providing seed and venture capital. They are focused on infrastructure, tourism, renewable energy, mining and mineral beneficiation, business outsourcing, and agricultural processing.
During his collegiate career, Mr. Sapula earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pretoria and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business. He is a member of the Institute of Directors and the Association of Black Securities and Investment Professionals.
