Alabama credit union expands charter, offering services to all citizens of Jefferson, Shelby, Tuscaloosa, Walker, Blount, St. Clair, or Bibb Counties.
SALT LAKE CITY, UT, November 11, 2011 /Banking and Financial PR News/ -- Jefferson County Employees Credit Union has changed its name to Jefferson Credit Union. The name was recently approved at a members meeting to reflect its expanded reach.
Since 1941 the credit union has served the employees of Jefferson County, based in Birmingham, Alabama. A change of charter expanded membership to anyone who works or lives in Jefferson, Shelby, Tuscaloosa, Walker, Blount, St. Clair, or Bibb Counties, as well as county employees and their families.
Jefferson Credit Union has helped members in extraordinary ways as the community and members have faced economic challenges. From the tornados to political struggles and governmental cutbacks Jefferson Credit Union has delivered.
