As Head of Facilities Management with Absa, as well as throughout her phenomenal professional career, Hellen has consistently displayed the passion and perseverance necessary to be successful in the business world.
Absa is one of South Africa's largest financial services groups offering a complete range of banking, assurance and wealth management products and services. Although the company's business is conducted primarily in South Africa, they also have equity holdings in banks in Mozambique and Tanzania and representative offices in Namibia and Nigeria.
Hellen is accountable for creating policy, defining standards, and monitoring compliance in all aspects of FM. She is responsible for developing innovative security, visitor management, parking and food service solutions for complex corporate buildings. Hellen undertakes research and development on market trends in FM design, operations and management. She is also a key participant in the creation and development of the City Improvement District, and Safety and Security Partnership with SAPS and Metro Police.
During her collegiate career, Hellen earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Natal; Advanced Diploma in Strategic Management and Business Management from the University of Potchefstroom; and an Advanced Diploma in Property Investment and Real Estate from the University of South Africa. She is a member of the Institute of Directors and the Women's Property Network.
